Hello families and friends,

For today´s post I thought it would be nice to show you how much fun the Tortugues and Dofins are having with the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and the song of the Ten Little Indians.

Eric Carle´s classic story is a favorite among our little ones. They enjoy watching how the tiny caterpillar eats his way until he becomes a big fat caterpillar…and then…into a beautiful butterfly!

Children learn a lot of vocabulary with this story and also, get to review concepts they already know, like: night/moon and day/sun. To make it more interesting and fun for them, we play with our caterpillar friend and the fruits, as you can see in the pictures.

Also, the song of the Ten Little Indians is a favorite! Has anyone heard their child singing ¨ua, ua, shoot the arrow! Ua, ua, shoot the arrow?¨ With this song they have learned to count to 10 and play being little indians! ¨One little two, little three, little indians…four little five, little six little indians….¨

Hope you like and enjoy the pictures! Until next time!!

Miss Daniela
