Hello families and friends,

As some of you know, this month we had the opportunity to open a group of P3 children for afterschool English! They are so happy and motivated to come to Magnolia to learn English with our TET method.

They are enjoying it very much and so am I. This past week we started our first “big book” story from the SKY program. Have you heard of Hickory Dickory Dock? It’s so fun to read and learn! It is the story of 12 little animals and a noisy clock.

The objective behind it is to learn, not only the animals, but the numbers from 1-12 and the action verbs that each of these animals do, like: look, dance, jump, bark, buzz, oink, etc.

Take a look at the photos to see how visual the story is for the kids, so that they can easily connect a new word to an image. While reading the story, we played a game of searching for the corresponding number and animal. After this, we heard the audio of the story and then we enjoyed singing the song! “Hickory Dickory Dock, a mouse went up the clock!”

I’ll keep you posted on our progress and activities. Until next time,

Miss Daniela
